A Treasure Found In Mexico

A recent letter sent from our dear friends Jan & Pam:

We just returned from our twenty forth trip to Mexico and we must share an amazing discovery – Manzanillo, Mexico – more specifically, the condo complex rightly named Perla del Mar.

Manzanillo is not the wild tourist destination like Puerto Vallarta or Acapulco.  One thing that makes Manzanillo special is that it is Mexico’s major west coast working port.  Since Perla del Mar stands on the beach overlooking  the harbor we were delighted to spend hours watching the big ships come into the harbor to unload their cargo. From our spacious patio we also watched a mother whale and her new calf breaching the water in the heart of the bay.

There are luxury options available; an exercise room where you can work out while overlooking the beautiful bay, the gorgeous salt water infinity swimming pool overlooking the beach and ocean, the nearly empty beach where vendors did not hound people to buy something and, our personal favorite, relaxing in the shade of a palm tree reading a book or taking a nap.

At the center of this amazing life-style is a condo-complex to die for. The layout of our condo suite is comprised of two on-suite large master bedrooms, well-appointed rooms, living room and kitchen all finished with top quality luxury in every detail. But, our favorite part of the condo was to slide the large glass doors wide open and spend time on the very spacious patio. The luxury, detail and quality of the condos at Perla del Mar are the same one might find in a multi-million dollar condo on California’s southern coast.

We found great restaurants within walking distance when the ‘no-cooking-bug hit us. It is worth mentioning that we felt safe. The complex has electronic control underground parking and 24/7 on-site personal insuring.

The people at Perla del Mar were warm and welcoming generously sharing their knowledge of Manzanillo and the surrounding area. Our dear friends, Mark and Vicky, went out of their way to make our time a wonderful experience.  Mark took us to visit Casa Hogar Los Angelitos Orphanage, a place where Nancy, the founder, and the children, deeply touched our hearts.

We feel so very blessed to have experienced a this magical time in Manzanillo, Mexico. A BIG THANKS TO YOU, MARK AND VICKY!
